Takeoff was the first track made for the EP (not counting Dreamscape, since that got replaced with a remake)! I finished the first version not too long after Dreamscape was finished. Then I forgot about it immediately after! Yay! Later I came across the project file again, and remembered "oh yeah that's a thing." So I remade it! I finished it, and I was so proud! I thought it was the best thing I had ever made. Then I sent it to my friend because I was so proud of it and wanted to show it off.

His reply: "Eh, doesn't really match up with your other work." Then he promptly destroyed the entire thing, telling me every detail on why it sucked. Ouch. Can't say he was wrong, though!

Anyways, so I went back to the drawing board. I worked on it some more, sent it to another friend. Got yet another "it sucks" reply. I think I ended up making about five versions before I gave up for the time being. Then I just started working on other songs. About a few weeks before the album was to release, I realized that Takeoff wasn't finished. Of course I didn't have time to write a new song, so I just decided to do one last shot on Takeoff before I gave up. I loaded the project file, and transformed it into this. I'm very happy with the result. I think it's really good, personally.
